What is the Searches Application?
The Searches Application appears as a search bar on your website. This allows your customers to search for a specific item if they know what they are looking for. Upon clicking the Search button, customers are provided with a list of possible searches, a product list, and a list of possible categories their search may apply to. Additionally, your business can see a database that shows the term searched, the action performed after the search, amount of times the term was searched, and the final result count. By default, the database organizes results from most times searched to least times searched, but it provides additional filters based on the previous features mentioned.

If your online businesses features a catalog of your products, then the Searches Application is vital to your success. Adding a search bar to your website allows consumers to quickly navigate through your products instead of scrolling through numerous catalogs. You can also override keywords by forwarding specific search terms to specific URLs or to specific searches. Furthermore, as the application presents the most searched items/terms, you can determine which items are the most popular on your website which can assist in marketing decisions.

This search tool is so advanced, it gives your customers possible searches, possible catalogs, and a possible product list before the consumer clicks the Enter key. While it doesn’t overload your customers with information, the application gives consumers a sample of potential matches to their search, based on previously recorded searches for similar keywords stored in the back end of the system.
